01Who this policy covers

This policy explains how the BlueprintBuddy mobile app ("the app", "we", "us") handles information. It applies to the app you download from Google Play or the Apple App Store. If you have questions about anything here, the contact details are at the end.

02Information kept on your device

When you use the app you create and enter information, including:

• Room measurements, floor plans, elevations and feature placements
• Quote line items, rates, VAT settings and totals
• Customer details you choose to add, such as a name, address or job reference
• Your own business branding, such as your logo, business name and VAT number

This information is stored locally on your device. It stays there unless you choose to share or export it — for example, by emailing a PDF or saving a file. We do not receive a copy.

03Information we collect

The app is designed so that your survey and customer data does not leave your device by default. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your surveys or customer records.

Depending on your settings and platform, limited technical information (such as anonymous crash reports or basic usage statistics) may be processed to help keep the app stable and improve it. Where this applies, it is handled in line with the providers described below and is not used to identify you personally.

04App stores and your device

The app is distributed through Google Play and the Apple App Store. When you download or use it, Google or Apple may collect information in line with their own policies — for example, for app delivery, payments and subscriptions, security and aggregate statistics. That processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Apple's Privacy Policy respectively, not by this one. We do not receive a copy.

If you subscribe to BlueprintBuddy Pro, payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google through your store account. We do not receive or store any payment card details.

Your device's own operating system also controls permissions (such as storage access for saving exports). You can review and change these at any time in your device settings.

05When you export or share

When you export a plan or quote, or send it by email or another app, that file leaves the app and is handled by whichever service you use to send it (your email app, messaging app or file storage). Once you share a file, how it is stored and who can see it is determined by that service and the recipient.

06Your customers' information

If you add your customers' details to a survey or quote, you are responsible for how you collect and use that information. Under UK data protection law you will usually be the data controller for your customers' personal data, and the app is simply a tool on your device for recording it.

We recommend only entering the details you need, keeping your device secure, and removing surveys you no longer require.

07Children

BlueprintBuddy is a tool for trade and property professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

08Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if new features change how information is handled. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a future version of the app adds optional cloud features, we'll explain clearly what that involves before you turn them on.
