BlueprintBuddy is built around a simple principle: your survey data is yours, and it stays on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. BlueprintBuddy does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information, usage data, analytics, location data, or device identifiers on our servers. We don’t have servers.
What stays on your device
When you use BlueprintBuddy, the following are stored locally on your phone or tablet:
- Project files you create (rooms, walls, features, measurements)
- Photos you attach to projects or features
- Your in-app preferences (units, display settings)
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it — for example, by exporting a PDF to email, sharing a project file with a colleague, or sending a photo to another app.
Permissions we ask for
- Camera — only when you choose to take a photo within the app. We do not access the camera in the background.
- Photo library — only when you choose to attach a photo from your gallery to a project.
- Storage — to save exported PDFs and project files to a location you select.
You can decline these permissions and still use most of the app’s features. If you decline camera or photo access, you simply won’t be able to attach photos to projects.
Third-party services
BlueprintBuddy does not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, crash reporting services, or tracking tools. The app is fully functional offline.
Children’s privacy
BlueprintBuddy is a professional tool intended for adults working in trades and construction. We do not knowingly target or collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the app handles data, we’ll update this page and the date above. Material changes will be flagged in the app itself.
